Princess Heights

For units available for sale and rentals click here

located on the east coast of St. Maarten at Dawn Beach, just minutes from the French side border, is a luxury boutique condo hotel, specializing in personalized service and luxurious suites.  51 total units, ranging from studios to two-bedroom suites, offer private balconies overlooking the sea and neighboring island of St. Barths.  Fully outfitted gourmet kitchens, whirlpool tubs, terracotta tiled balconies, and marble and granite throughout these apartments provide a true feeling of luxury.  Finally, Princess Heights offers a gorgeous outdoor pool, with lounge furniture on a large patio overlooking the sea, plus a private gym, open 24-7 with air-conditioning.

Dawn Beach, at your front door, is a gorgeous stretch of fine white sand and turquoise water.  It is possible to rent beach chairs and umbrellas, have lunch and drinks at Mr. Busby’s, or find some peace and quiet off on your own.  A teeming tropical reef lies just offshore for some excellent snorkeling.  Early risers will understand how Dawn Beach gets its name by experiencing spectacular sunrises on this eastern facing beach.  To the south, Guana Bay is great for surfing and provides a natural experience, uninterrupted by buildings, crowds, and noise.  To the north, and just across the French side border, Le Galion is a windsurfer’s paradise.  The sheltered bay is also a great place to enjoy the flat calm water, where you can wade all the way out to a floating raft for some sunbathing or splashing around.  Try the Tropical Wave Beach Café for lunch, or to rent some water sports equipment.

At Princess Heights, you are in a quiet neighborhood, yet minutes from every amenity.  Oyster Pond is home to Captain Oliver’s Marina, with restaurants, gourmet grocery store, dive shop, piano bar and more.  Also in the neighborhood, a casino, spa, restaurants, art galleries, and cafés fulfill your entertainment needs.  Just a few minutes drive leads to Orient Bay, famous for its water sports, many beachfront lounges and restaurants, people watching, and shopping.  Also a few minutes drive, Philipsburg, the Dutch side capital, is famous for its Front Street shopping, where you can find duty free jewelers, international fashion designers, island boutiques, and an open air market.  Many residential amenities such as banks, gas stations, pharmacies, doctors’ offices, and government buildings are also here.

About the author, Jonathan Schaede

Hi there! My name is Jonathan Schaede and I created this site. Here you will find a lot of information that you would otherwise not find about St. Maarten Real Estate and the market. It's a great way in paragraph form to get to know the neighborhoods and areas in our little Paradise. A little more about me; I had the pleasure of growing up  in St. Maarten and have always been involved in our family owned Real Estate and Development company, Sunshine Properties, founded by my father Dieter Schaede a pioneer in the Real Estate industry.
