Coral Beach Club
The Coral Beach Club at Dawn Beach is located in the Oyster Pond area on the west coast of St. Maarten, just minutes from the French side border. 14 villas, 7 two-story townhouses, and 3 one and two-bedroom apartments make up this private community, uniquely situated between a freshwater lagoon and the Caribbean Sea. Inspired architecture that takes into account the weather and light of the Caribbean, luxury appliances, travertine floors, private pools, Jacuzzis, gardens, and stunning views of both the ocean, neighboring St. Barths, emerald green hillsides, and the lagoon are just some of the amenities offered at Coral Beach Club. A common administration building houses a reception area, sales office, commercial space, a restaurant, and a gym.
At your front door, Dawn Beach is a long and stunning stretch of white sand and cool blue water. Take a moment of tranquility at one end of the beach, or stroll down to the opposite end to Mr. Busby’s Beach Bar and Grill, which also services beach chairs and umbrellas. If you are up for a bit of a swim, head just off the beach to a teeming tropical reef for excellent snorkeling. Just to the south the wild and natural beach at Guana Bay is great for surfing and an escape from all the hustle and bustle. To the North, across the French side border, Le Galeon is a calm, sheltered bay, great for a relaxing swim and long walks through the marine conservatory. Le Galion is also home to the best windsurfing conditions in St. Maarten, where both Windy Reef Surf Shop and Pat at the Tropical Wave Café will rent equipment and offer lessons.
Oyster Pond has many amenities, the picturesque Captain Oliver’s Marina, international restaurants, bars, cafes, boutiques, a dive shop, gourmet grocery store, and more. A few minutes drive North leads to Orient Bay, the busiest beach stretch on the French side and the water sports capitol of St. Maarten/Martin. Numerous beach restaurants and lounges line the bustling bay. Also a quick drive away, the Dutch side capitol of Philipsburg waits with its infamous Front Street shopping (think diamonds, international designers, island boutiques, and an open air market). Many residential amenities such as banks, government buildings, grocery stores, pharmacies, doctors’ offices, gas stations, and more are also here.
