Aqualina Beach Club:
The Aqualina Beach Club, located in southern St. Maarten, on Simpson Bay Beach, is a new luxury beachfront residence. Spacious two and three bedroom apartments, and two penthouse units, each offer a private balcony with an endless view of Simpson Bay. One of the longest beaches on St. Maarten, Simpson Bay Beach stretches from Pelican Key to Beacon Hill. Almost exclusively residential, with a few boutique hotels and two unobtrusive beach bars/lounges, Simpson Bay Beach is a white powder half-moon, cupping the gentle turquoise hued water of the Caribbean Sea at your front doorstep. The bay also serves as a safe harbor for elegant sailboats and yachts to anchor outside of the Dutch side drawbridge, only further complimenting the stunning view. Aqualina’s high ceilings, and bright, clean décor allow you to feel perfectly blended into your pristine surroundings.
Amenities include a beachfront swimming pool, lush landscaping, protective hurricane shutters, and luxurious interior design with new appliances. The Simpson Bay area offers every and any amenity, both residential and tourist, that one could imagine. From banks, grocery stores, movie theater, gas stations, doctors’ offices, and pharmacies, to marinas, fine dining, casinos, shopping, bars, spa/salons, and water sports. Simpson Bay is also a five-minute drive to both Learning Unlimited and St. Maarten Montessori School.
The neighborhood has many different beach going options as well. Simpson Bay Beach is very popular for residents, joggers, and dog walkers, and the usually calm waters are great for relaxing swims. Past the airport, towards Beacon Hill, Burgeaux Bay is a quiet snorkeler’s paradise. Head the opposite direction toward Pelican Key, and hang out at Kim Sha beach, where La Bamba has live music and dancing on the beach and Buccaneer’s lights its nightly fireballs (old mooring balls turned into contained beach bonfires) for a cozy beachfront curl-up. Kim Sha is also home to the annual Heineken Regatta finale party, awards ceremony, and concert.
